Random Foodcam

It's been a while and the food pics are piling up with nowhere to go.
Time to offload.

It's lots of simple stuff going down over here, but so is my waistline, and without much effort (truthfully, who wants to work too hard at that?), so it's all good.

Emergency study food - kebabs, sans nightshades.

nooo idea how that lamingtons picture got on my phone.

Someone must have stolen it, taken the picture and put it back in by bag.
 It's the only reasonable explanation.

  1. I'm loving roasted veg at the moment. Parsnips, carrots and kumera or pumpkin are my faves.

    Damn those cake photography ninjas!

    1. I think it's going to be more of the same tonight too. Didn't QUITE get to the shops today and root veges keep longer in the bin. (exam dinners)

  2. I have the same oven (the panasonic one that is a microwave as well). We probably got the same great deal.

    1. Yes, that's the one. We blew our first one up in five days (the fuse blew when we turned the grill on) so this is the replacement. It's so ideal for the type of cooking I do and is faster and less power-sucking than the ancient stove.

    2. It was a Harvey Norman deal - I think $200 off. It was a Jase shopping expedition. He usually comes home with an appliance or a piece of fitness gear...

  3. Ummmm can I please come to your house for dinner? Or breakfast actually, you buckwheat porridge looks YUMMO. Such a good combo, almond butter + banana. You'd be needing something warming/comforting with the Winter I hear you gus are having over there brrrrrr.

I'm over in October when (hopefully) it will be warmer (????)

    1. Yes, it's pretty spectacular. Buckwheat agrees with me - one of the only grains that doesn't tank my energy levels. The thing which 'really' finishes this breakfast off is coconut milk yogurt, which I've mastered, and will be on the blog over the weekend.
