Day 39
Week 6, Day 4
Yay! Today I finally got to my mini-goal of under 60kg. It’s been a psychological barrier that I haven’t quite cracked for about a year. Now it’s done, just like that.and in spite of eating a chocolate bar every day. I’m probably risking TT expulsion with that sort of behaviour, but the rest of my nutrition is really clean , full of veges, berries, lean proteins and EFA’s and so, for now, something is working both physically and psychologically.
Training
TT 2K3 workout B
DB Ball Squat 3 x 8 @ 2x7kg
DB delt raise (front) 3 x 8 @4kg
Reverse ball hyperextension (instead of deadlift – my back needed this). 3 x 15
Stability ball jacknife 3 x 15\
DB forward lunge 3 x 8 @ 2x7kg
Stability ball leg curl 3 x 15
Again I ran out of time, and did my cardio in the early evening.
20 minutes advanced interval cardio (bike settings same as last session)
20 mins pilates and stretching before bed.
I opened my TT training journal this morning and discovered that all the little squares on the page I’m using had been nicely filled in with a little scribble in each one. Then I remembered that last night my (2 year old) niece had been walking around with my resistance band around her middle and told me she had been doing her exercises. Sometimes I forget that she watches everything. At least she filled in her workout. Good effort!

I actually think that the little chocolate splurge at the airport was sort of 'celebratory'.. like, 'woohoo I got under 60kg, I deserve chocolate'. Duh, that's exactly the sort of behaviour that keeps me regaining. I'm sure one day it will sink in!
Congratulations - I know what those barriers can be like, physically and mentally. I'm right behind you, by the way...should be this coming week. Or maybe next.
ReplyDeleteOoh, and I love the chocolate-bar-a-day diet plan. Way to go!
