Day 61
Week 9, Day 5
(Week 4, Day 5 of official challenge)
Yay! I had my summer school exam today and it was easier than I thought it was going to be. The room was, as usual, a fridge. A huge room with four little bar heaters in the corners of the ceiling. I mentioned on the way out that really it was a bit too cold to operate my fingers properly and the room monitor said ‘well, if the room had been full of people it would have been warmer’. Yes… of course…. why didn’t I think of inviting all my friends to the exam?! Next time I will turn up with an entourage and have them wear shirts that say ‘hominoid heater system’.
Training
No training today. Yesterday I did workout B from the TT 30 day fatloss and fit it into my study breaks, which got the workout done and kept me from feeling like I was sitting on my butt all day.
Eats
Today I am trying a 24 hour fast which starts at 3.30pm. I’m determined to succeed at it, BUT if I get to 10pm and am ready to eat my own hand off then I will reconsider. Tomorrow is the big party I’ve been looking forward to and it’s practically guaranteed that I’ll be eating quite a lot. It will be mostly good greek food though and a few ouzo’s. I promise to post photos. :O)
I have been eating a lot of chickpeas lately. I learned how to cook them from scratch and the flavour is so much better than the canned ones I always used in the past. I’m quite keen to branch out and use other lentils and beans but for now I’ve got a huge bag of bulk chickpeas that I’m working my way through and they are certainly easier to cook than kidney beans
1. Oatwhites with banana
2. (post exam) Optimum nutrition bar and bowl of ‘zen’ cereal with trim milk – I was having a serious carb craving after the exam. Maybe my brain was chewing through the glucose thinking so hard about RNA transcription and all … that… stuff.
3. Tuna and chickpea salad with mixed veges.
