It's an Eat Stop Eat day

I'm having an amusing day in the office. When I am in situ at the supplement facotry, I have to conduct my working day from one of the desks in the open plan office. That's a big room with four desks and no dividing walls. You don't want to having a 'speak tot he hand' day. My office mates are my sister and her ex-husband. I've often thought of pitching our business as a most entertaining reality TV show. It would be like OC Choppers meets The Osbornes meets Survivor extreme. Perhaps I'll elaborate on this in a future post. Regular readers will recall that my sisters dodgy laptop was pinched over the weekend and today she is using our backup computer. All day I've been hearing her talking to it and the one-sided conversation goes something like 'you suck!' (five minutes later) 'Ugh! you SO suck you uselss piece of *&%$#!', (five minutes later) 'whaaaaat is that? why won't you do what I want? It's not rocket science, and even if it was you're a computer .... I need a cigarette'. It's been so distracting that the fasting part of my day was over before I even had time to think about food.

Now that I'm mostly recovered from Lasik and the cold is on it's last legs, I have resumed my twice weekly 20-24 hour fasts as per Eat Stop Eat. Usually it's a 20 hour fast during the week from 8pm to 4pm the next day, and a 24 hour fast on the weekend. As for real world results,I have not weighed myself since the end of my Turbulence Training Challenge and probably won't get on the scales until I start the TT Breakthrough Challenge on May 12th (woohooo!). My 'diet' is unchanged and for the first time ever I did not have any post-challenge eating binge/binges. I put this down to the fact that I'm not really doing anything that I feel I need a break from. I'm not depriving myself of anything I really enjoy or trying to feel satisfied on mini-portions. I'm still eating 1700-2300 calories a day five days a week and then about 1200 calories on fasting days. It's a pretty slow road for fatloss, but I don't care because I'm not suffering my way through to the end and there are chocolate signposts along the way. Judging by the fit of my clothes, I'm about the same, maybe a bit leaner than at the end of the last TT Challenge. More about that tomorrow.

  1. Bummer about the inconvenience of replacing lost files, and having a mess to clean up. But YAY for a new shiny thing!
